I completed this commissioned oil painting for Lisa, a Kelley Gallery client. Below, you see the piece in Lisa's home with a beautiful frame made by the Kelley Frame Shop. Lisa is a pleasure to work with, and we may work together again:)

Happiness
I have been wonderfully busy. . I am getting ready for a show at Kelley Gallery in Hudson, WI. on Oct, 5. . I am having a great time, especially so because everyone here is cooperating so well :)
It's great because since I have so many paintings to do, I can work out some ideas that I've had for awhile. Some I am doing small, and if I am so inspired I will do them up large. I have ordered my largest canvas to date,(except for the 8x16 ' mural) which is 48x72. Can hardly wait to start, but first, off to Denver, CO, for some fun and inspiration!

Light and Color
Twilight Marsh 40X30
I am an artist enthralled by the light and color that I see in the natural world. I attempt to convert a scene or impression into a piece of art that will share that impression with the viewer. This piece reflects one of my favorite times of day, the evening.

I am an oil painter
I've always seen with an artist eye, according to my mother, and living in rural Minnesota I have the opportunity to see an abundance of natural beauty right out my door. I am a converted oil painter. Having begun as a child using any scrap of paper available including newspaper margins, and progressing through the years to pastel, watercolor, acrylic and collage. I have found my true passion in oil paintings.
